Special Project III: Peace Agreements

Researchers within the TJI are conducting on-going work on peace agreements.  In particular, the work of Professor Christine Bell and Jeremie Gilbert focuses on this area. This research deals with peace agreements and human rights, the legal status of peace agreements, and includes analysis both of agreements in conflict, and the agreements states are currently signing with indigenous peoples.  A comprehensive database of peace agreements signed since 1990 is in the process of compilation which analyses the different dimensions of peace agreements. Further information can be sought from TJI Research Assistant, Catherine O’Rourke (cf.orourke@ulster.ac.uk).
